My paintings explore the intricate complications contemporary women face regarding perception and expectation—how do we attain enlightenment through metamodern spirituality with coexisting oppression and doubt? How do we conjure female unity and collective consciousness in a fragmented and individualistically self-propelled society?

Dualities of motherhood vs womanhood, individuality vs unity, sobriety vs dissipation, and victory vs surrender—these archetypes influence our self expression and mutual realities. I present these dualities not in harmony, but in coexistence, by showing vulnerability through painterly aesthetics and strength through referencing ancient goddesses and pioneering feminists. Today’s woman survives and trail-blazes in a world where divine power and serenity prevail.
